Wow!☺️

It feels like so much happened this week!

  • We welcomed a few new members to the table! We now have 82!

  • Coffee Hour calls were changed to Wednesdays and themed bake-alongs were scheduled (weekday AND weekend bakers welcome!)

  • Our monthly baking challenges now have their own hub with a leaderboard 🤭

  • Our Recipe collection was published—although it still needs a few tweaks

  • January’s Member Spotlight was announced with a great lesson about oven temperature!

  • A coaching hearth was added for premium members—a place to schedule 1-on-1 coaching calls with me!

This week’s teaching moment comes straight from that Member Spotlight.

📖 The teaching moment:

Every oven bakes differently. Electric, gas, convection—they all behave in their own way. When you follow a recipe, you still have to know your oven and your dough to make the best temperature decision.

A few baking facts to keep in your back pocket:

  • Adding honey or sugar to a loaf will cause it to brown faster—maybe even burn if you’re not careful

  • Using a light-colored pan? Oven Temp UP🔺

  • Using a dark-colored pan? Oven Temp DOWN🔻

Little adjustments like these are what turn “good enough” loaves into truly great ones. Learning to read your oven is just as important as learning to read your dough.

Thanks for another fun, full week at the table. I love building this community with you!

Happy baking🥖,

Samantha M.
