This week at The Crumb Table was very… quiet.

Like starter-fed-and-then-left-alone quiet 🥖😌

Coffee Hour didn’t happen (illness paid a visit over here 🤒), and the table itself was pretty still — no new posts, no big conversations, no flurry of comments. Just a gentle pause between Christmas and New Year’s, which honestly feels about right.

Here’s what did happen:

  • 🎊 A Merry Christmas & Happy New Year went out

  • 🌡 The new monthly baking challenge was announced

  • 🤫 And the table itself kept quietly taking shape

Even in quiet weeks, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes:

  • ☕ Coffee Hour calls are being planned

  • 🥖 Monthly baking challenges are getting more structure

  • ❓ Questions are being answered (yes, even the “is this dough ruined?” ones)

  • 🔓 And unlockable courses are slowly baking in the background

Some weeks are loud.

Some weeks are slow.

Just like sourdough, both matter. Quiet dough is still working — building strength and flavor even when nothing obvious is happening on the surface. Communities grow the same way.

If this week felt slower for you too, consider this your permission slip to rest, reset, and not force the rise 💛

I’ll see you back at the table next week — hopefully healthier, warmer, and with a little more life around here ☕️

Until then,

Samantha
